PUBLIC SAFETY

I'll work directly with law enforcement to ensure they have the tools and funding they need to meet the challenge of crime surges, while also working to expand other services to respond to emergencies like mental health crises, drug abuse, and homelessness.

Here are some steps we can take immediately to make our neighborhoods safer:

Step 1: SHOW-UP: An active community is a safer community. Crime takes place in the shadows.  We must show up and engage local residents.

Step 2. EDUCATE: Invite law enforcement to local town halls to educate residents on what they can do to help keep crime down in our neighborhoods.

Step 3. LEGISLATE:  Work with law enforcement, public safety officials, and local leaders to make sure our laws and methods are capable of tackling today's threats.
